We are raising money for Wear it Pink this month.  Please send your child in something pink and make a donation on 19th October.  Parents/carers are always welcome to join in!

Every year we choose a number of charities to raise funds for. They are often ones with a personal interest to staff or the school family. If you want to see what we are supporting this academic year, all the dates and events are on the school calendar on the website.

You will probably be aware in the press that schools are generally facing difficult times due to limited budgets and increased costs.  This is particularly the case in Maintained Nursery Schools.  Within Lancashire we have been well supported by the county, but many of the 24 nursery schools in Lancashire are facing very difficult times ahead, including ourselves.

Last term we invited Tracy Brabin, MP to the school to meet with parents, governors, staff and other headteachers.  This was arranged with support from Burnley MP, Julie Cooper.  Julie is now one of the speakers at an event at Burnley Football Club on 12th October to raise the awareness of the difficulties.  Please see the attached poster for further information or see the poster on wall in the Parents' Room.

Please check your emails for the latest Rockwood Nursery School newsletter.  If you struggle, there is a copy (PDF) in the 'Newsletter' section of the website and several hard copies in Reception.  If you haven't received an emailed copy and normally do, please check you have completed the GDPR form and returned it to us to allow us to send you emails and texts.

Don't forget, we close on THURSDAY 19th JULY for the Summer Holiday.

AM sessions early finish 10:15 - 10:30 am

PM/Hedgehogs early finish 14:00 - 14:15 pm

We hope you have a lovely holiday. If you are returning in September, remember we reopen on Wednesday 5th September, if you are leaving us, we wish you and your child all the best for the future!  We hope you have had lots of fun at Rockwood and enjoyed your time here.  If you haven't already, please add a post-it to our 'Likes' and 'Wishes' display in the Cloakroom.
