As a Lancashire County Council school, we are inspected under the Ofsted school inspection framework and follow school policies and guidance, including employing teachers to support the children's learning and development. We have been part of the local community for over 75 years and we consider the school as a family whose focus is to do our best for your family and your child.
We were last inspected by Ofsted in March 2024 and maintained our Outstanding Ofsted grade as a nursery school. Please have a look through our website and contact us to find out why.
For more information on how we support Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND) please see our local offer (PDF) or call the office to speak to our SENDCo Karen Bleasdale on 01282426711. To find out more about Lancashire County Council's local offer, see here.
If you want to look around us, we have a Google Tour where you can have a virtual look around. We also have several videos on our open Facebook page that tell you a bit about how we work. All visits to look around are completed out of school hours, but all new families are welcomed for a new starter visit before their child starts to attend Rockwood. If you have any questions, do contact us in the school office.
You can pick up an application form from school or download it. Please return completed forms to the school.
If you would like any paper copies of the documents on our website then please contact the office and they can be provided.
We hope to see you soon.
